I started in the fitness industry in 2002. I was looking to enhance my life as a stay-at-home mom. A friend at the YMCA where I worked out encouraged me to pursue a personal training certification. It was to be a part-time job, however, I realized very quickly that I had found what I was meant to do in this life. Teaching people to respect their bodies is so rewarding.
I hope that I give back a fraction of what I receive every day from my clients. When I am away from the studio I enjoy running, cooking, spending time with my husband whose support on this journey has been amazing, and my wonderful children.

My journey in the fitness industry began in 2000 as a group exercise instructor at the YMCA. It was the perfect way to share my love of exercise and build relationships while my twins were young. In 2006, I decided to take it to the next level and get my certification in personal training. I’ve always enjoyed the challenges that each individual client presented from a physical and emotional perspective.
I believe in functional, multi-joint movements that are beneficial to my clients outside of the gym. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, my family and friends, and of course, all things active!
Personal training at its best, the staff are excellent for all your needs from fitness to diet. They are also very good at modifying exercises that work with an existing condition or injury.

My experience at Pulse has been a life-changer. I can’t believe I’ve lost 18 pounds since the summer without counting calories. Through nutrition counseling with Holly and strength training with Lisa, I’ve learned how to motivate myself to eat healthy and stay active. I learn a new practice every two weeks (such as eat enough protein). Each practice serves as building block toward a natural progression of healthy eating and an active lifestyle. No points, no calorie counting, no pre-ordered meals. Before I knew it, this bad cook was actually enjoying looking at cookbooks to find new recipes (that were surprisingly easy to make)! I feel so much better physically and mentally. I’m looking at this as being in training for the rest of my life.
